Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the South Forsyth War Eagles Varsity and Valdosta , as the two teams put up 21 runs combined in a 11-10 the South Forsyth War Eagles Varsity win.
Hitters on both sides were strong at the plate as the teams combined for 21 hits, including seven extra base hits.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with four lead changes.
The South Forsyth War Eagles Varsity took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for the victory. The South Forsyth War Eagles Varsity scored on an RBI single by Matt Cunningham off Jude Ard, bringing home Brett Graczyk.
Ben Alexander got the win in relief for the South Forsyth War Eagles Varsity. Ben Alexander pitched two innings and allowed one run.
Bo Rodemaker was charged with the loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
It didn't take long for Valdosta to respond as it scored five runs of its own in the sixth. Valdosta scored on an RBI double by Logan Stephens, an error, a walk by Kodi Noviello, and a fielder's choice.
